Inkpact cover the cost of the notification system to ensure scribes are notified of new jobs on the platform, in the way that you prefer, because we don’t want anyone to miss out.
Without the notification system you would need to keep logging on to check if jobs are available and we know everyone has a busy schedule! So this way you can have peace of mind that you only need to log on to look for jobs when something has come through to the platform.
For this, two different systems are used by two service providers (via email and SMS). This is to make sure that even if you didn't have your internet switched on you'll still be notified and can then log in to the platform.
For both systems, the order in which alerts go out is randomised every time to make it fair for all scribes. The alerts are sent out within minutes of each other and work quickly through the list. The time delay can also be due to phone service or internet service in your area at that time, especially during peak times of internet usage for example.
For example, you may be in the same place each time when receiving notifications but if it is peak time for internet usage and you are using wifi, it may cause a delay in your email notification. We recommend opting in to both email alerts and text message alerts.
