From 2024 we are trialling a new system for any scribes joining us where they upload an image of their own scribe kit in the onboarding form.
We are very committed to minimising our environmental impact! (Did you know the Inkpact website is carbon neutral? We plant trees to offset it's usage :D)
We have found that many people applying to join our Scribe Tribe are already passionate fountain pen users or artists who have lightpads at home or they have a friend or family member they can get one from.
The new system is more eco friendly in reducing the number of kits we are purchasing, packing and shipping out in the post, plus if people already have the materials they don't have to wait for items to arrive in the post.
It also means scribes can avail of items likes pens/lightpads going on sale local to them and can often get them at a cheaper price plus choose the brand of fountain pen that suits them best!
So if you are recommending the scribe tribe to a family member or friend, ask them to check if they already have a fountain pen or lightpad tucked away in the back of the cupboard! :D
